Invotek classroom partitions are ideal for primary and secondary schools where durability, high impact resistance, functionality and style are important considerations. The recyclable strawboard partitions lock up carbon from the atmosphere, give a firm base for fixing whilst providing good acoustic sound reduction for noisy children and allowing the unusual glazing elements to be easily incorporated,

Strawboard Classroom Partitioning Technical Specification

Invotek 75 Strawboard Partitioning is a non-loadbearing fully relocatable floor to ceiling system based on a steel framework with Sound Reducing and Fire Resistant Invotek Strawboard panels, erected in a combination of solid, single or double glazed panels. A pre-finished steel head and recessed floor channel are used. They are internally constructed from 47mm glavanised steel posts with telescopic heads to allow for a building deviation of +/- 10mm. One number 12.7mm thick Invotek Strawboard panel is used either side of the framework with 45 kg/m3 sound quilt in the void as an optional extra.

Panel finishes of strawboard partitions may be vinyl, wood veneer, laminate or other finishes. Panel Joints use a compression clip as standard. Module widths are a nominal 1212mm. (Other sizes are available to suit requirements.) Height may be up to 3600mm with a transom at 2100mm. Overall thickness is 75mm. The weight is approximately 26.0kg/m2 of solid panel. Finishes. Polyester powder coating is applied to all exposed steel components and is available in a wide range of colours as standard. Density is about 650kg/m3. Internal bond 0,7 N/mm2. The glazed units are factory finished glazed units with glass to specification, held in by PVC glazing gasket. Blinds are 25mm integral Fineblinds with knob controls.

The door units of the classroom partitions are pre-fabricated steel door frames as standard or full height with sound seals incorporated into door stops. Solid core oak or beech veneer doors as standard or to specification. Matched rebated overpanels are available as an optional extra, Fire-rated frames are fitted with high performance 25mm intumescent strips and smokeseals are offered as an optional extra. The standard strawboard partitioning door furniture is satin finish stainless steel lever latch or lock furniture, or to specification. The integral recessed skirting is colour matched with the framework. Most electrical, British Telecom and other services can be accommodated within the cavity of the strawboard partitions. Compartment trunking can be provided behind the skirting if required. Class "O" Spread of Flame is provided as standard to comply with the Building Regulations 1985. Up to half hour fire resistance can be provided.
